Tomorrow is election day. If you haven't already voted early, or by absentee ballot, then tomorrow is your last chance to affect the political future of our country. We recently heard that voting is complusory for eligibile citizens of Australia, and non-voters without a compelling reason are fined. (Sort of a reverse poll tax.) US and Iowa voting rates for eligible voters remain embarassingly low. Perhaps this would encourage better participation and more accurately reflect the electorate's will?
